
MANGALURU: New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has continued its strong growth trajectory in cargo handling, recording an 8.84% increase in cargo traffic as of 6 September 2026.
The port handled 20.55 million tonnes (MT) of cargo during the current financial year up to 6 September 2026, compared to 18.88 MT handled during the corresponding period last year. The growth reflects an increase of nearly 1.67 million tonnes in cargo throughput and highlights the port’s sustained operational momentum.
