
Copenhagen - In latest issue of the Sea-Intelligence Sunday Spotlight, it has review the developments in capacity market shares of the current top-10 container shipping lines, and its analysis reveals a dramatic consolidation in the container shipping industry over the past 15 years, with the market share of the current top-10 global shipping lines growing from 55% in 2010 to 86% in 2025.
As Figure 1 shows, the growth was almost entirely at the expense of shipping lines outside the current top-10, which is not much of a surprise, given the number . . .
