New Delhi - The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has eased rules for rupee-based export transactions, giving Indian exporters greater flexibility to invoice overseas sales and receive payments in Indian rupees or foreign currencies.
The changes, notified on August 20, amend provisions of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 and align the export framework with foreign-exchange regulations issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 2023.
