
New Delhi - One out of every three steel products imported into India is from China, indicating continued pressure on the domestic market and exports. The steel trade deficit for April–July period widened to ₹11,592 crore, some 30 per cent higher than the FY24 (end) of ₹9,036 crore, a Steel Ministry report shows. India was a net importer of steel.
India had a trade surplus in the year-ago-period of ₹2,347 crore.
