Participates in Juhu Beach clean-up drive on 29th September
MUMBAI: In our relentless exploitation of the environment and thoughtless overuse of plastic, we have reached a situation where nature is giving back to us, what we dump in the seas: plastic and garbage! In the months of the monsoons, the litter that goes into the ocean comes back to the shore and causes irreparable damage to the marine life as well as the surrounding environment. Our beautiful beaches are strewn with plastic, dumped by us thoughtlessly into the sea…..
proof that nature is saying ‘No more’ !
Following up from the earlier Juhu Beach clean-up activity, a much larger group of 250 people from Allcargo including some business partners, the NGO Beach Warriors, collected plastic and garbage at the Juhu Beach clean-up drive on the morning of the 29th September.
Chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty and Jt. MD Adarsh Hegde personally spearheaded this drive under Allcargo Greens – an initiative for the better tomorrow.
The 100 metres of beach clean-up fetched us a staggering 9 tonnes of garbage. Imagine what the amount of trash the entire stretch of beach goes through. We took it upon ourselves to do our bit to clean and conserve. Let us share our achievement and inspire others to join hands in preserving mother nature, wherever we are and in whichever way we can. We have lot’s to do, said an Allcargo release.
Let’s be the change we wish to see. Support #AllcargoGreens.
