CHENNAI : Chennai Port Authority achieved a significant operational milestone with the successful handling of MV Navios Constellation, the longest container vessel ever to call at the port. The vessel, measuring 350 metres in overall length (LOA) and having a carrying capacity of 9,954 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), berthed at Chennai Port on 1 August 2023, underscoring the port’s growing capability to accommodate large, next-generation container ships.
