MUMBAI/HAZIRA: Seabird Marine Services Pvt. Ltd, part of the Parekh Group, is all set to commence operations at its container freight station (CFS) at Hazira today, after receiving Customs notification.
The facility has all the requisite infrastructure and all the permissions are now in place.
Strategically located in the vicinity of Hazira Port, the CFS has a total area of 51,540 sq. metres, covered warehouse area of 6,000 sq. metres, fully equipped empty container depot, own container handling equipment, office space for customers and CCTV surveillance, among other features. It would be operational 24x7.
Its immediate hinterland covers the cities of Gujarat such as Surat, Ankleshwar, Valia, Bharuch, Dahej, Vapi, Daman / Silvassa, Vadodara and Ahmedabad.
Seabird Marine also operates CFSs in Nhava Sheva, Mundra and Krishnapatnam.
