New Shipbuilding scheme in works; will incentivise Indian Shipyards till 2035 : Shipping Secretary

NEW DELHI : Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) is working on a new shipbuilding scheme, which would incentivise Indian shipyards till 2035 by various measures, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Secretary Mr. T K Ramachandran has said.

He further said with the new policy, India will endeavour to be among the top 10 shipbuilding nations by 2030 and the top five by 2047, from 22nd in the world at present.
