Mumbai - Indian exporters could gain from the gradual return of large container vessels to the Suez Canal, as the shorter Asia-Europe and Asia-US East Coast routes offer the potential for lower shipping costs and faster transit times.

The return of mega container ships marks a significant shift after carriers diverted much of their traffic around the Cape of Good Hope because of security risks in the Red Sea.
