


A.P. Moller Maersk (Maersk) has revealed that a new container release process is set to take effect at Germany’s key seaports — Hamburg, Bremerhaven, and Wilhelmshaven.
From 1 October 2025, the system will replace PINs with a secure, traceable digital release order.
The new system enhances supply chain security by allowing only one verified party per container pickup.
