Amazon India expands Indian Railways partnership, launches operations on Western Dedicated Freight Corridor

BENGALURU : Amazon India has expanded its partnership with Indian Railways by starting operations on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), extending its rail logistics network across northern and western India ahead of the festive season. The company has become the first e-commerce company to operate on the corridor’s inaugural Joint Parcel Product–Rapid Cargo Service (JPP-RCS) train.

The daily rail service will operate with over 10 Van Parcels and link Amazon’s network across Delhi, Ahmedabad and Surat, with onward connectivity to Pune, Mumbai and Goa. On . . .
