
Mumbai - Jawaharlal Nehru Customs House along with BCBA organised an Open House and interactive session for members and stake holders of the trade regarding imports and exports related issues on December 28, 2023 at Park Hotel in Navi Mumbai for trade and members at Navi Mumbai. JNCH gave a presentation on upcoming TRS Time Release Study 2024
Mr. Sanjeev Harale, Senior Vice President, BCBA gave the welcome address to the gathering. He welcomed all dignitaries present and welcomed Shri. Rajesh Pandey and his entire team to the interactive session.
Mr Akshay Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Customs, gave a comprehensive slide show presentation on the Time Release Study and explained in detail its important points in establishing the predictability in the release of export and import goods.
A detailed presentation was presented by BCBA an insight on the TRS Facilitation measures to improve the process and timeline for clearance of Import and Export Cargo. During his address by Chief Comm. of Customs, Shri Rajesh Pandey elaborated the gathering about the trade facilitation measures and initiatives taken by JNCH for facilitation of trade. Other dignitaries were commissioners of Customs, Zone II and trade and senior officers from trade bodies.


Shri. Sanjeev Kumar Singh - Commissioner of Customs (NS-II), Mumbai Zone II, JN Customs, Shri. Ashwini Kumar - Commissioner (Nhava Sheva –III), Mumbai Zone-II, JN Customs, Shri. Sonal Bajaj - Commissioner of Customs, NS – V, Mumbai Zone II, JN Customs were also present at the interactive session.
The interactive session saw pertinent queries raised by Mr Umesh Grover, Secretary General, CFSAI; Ms Srilatha G., Director, Synergy Global Logistics.
It was resolved to observe and implement necessary steps for faster clearance of import and export cargo with a vision to make India, the largest economy in the world. The session concluded with vote of thanks to the chair by Mr Ganpat Korade, Hon. Treasurer, BCBA, He thanked the presence of Customs officials, Customs Brokers and trade on the occasion.
