Mumbai  - A Momentous Evening of India Maritime Awards 8^th Edition – Managed and Organised by India’s Oldest Newspaper, Daily Shipping Times – concluded Grandiosely at Hotel Sahara Star, 3^rd Floor, Sapphire Ballroom, Mumbai on 28^th June 2024 amid the presence of Who’s Who of the Shipping, Logistics and Maritime Fraternity. 

A Full House of august gathering of more then 600 Dignitaries comprising Luminaries from Maritime and Logistics Sector, Policy Makers & Bureaucrats, CEOs of Leading Maritime Companies, Presidents of Leading Maritime Associations, Port Officials among others joined in Raising the Toast for the Proud Award Winners of the Evening.

Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) Graced the Awards Evening as the Esteemed Chief Guest. 

In his brief address he commended the role played by Daily Shipping Times and its Team for their endeavour in updating the Maritime and Logistics Fraternity with latest happenings around the world since decades.

• The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred to Shri Pankaj Manharlal Mehta – Chairman, Pankaj Transport, Rushabh Sealink & Logistic Pvt. Ltd. for his immense contribution to the Maritime and Logistics sector over the years. His Journey into the World of Transportation began in 1975 with a single truck and a dream. Currently his Visionary and Leadership Trait continues to shape the future of transportation, inspiring generations and leaving an enduring legacy of excellence.

• Mr. Vishal P. Mehta - CEO, Pankaj Transport, Rushabh Sealink & Logistic Pvt. Ltd. was honoured with Special Recognition for being the First Shipping Personality to become Honorary-Consul of the Republic of Djibouti to India.

• Mr. Shashi R. Tanna – Managing Director, Links Cargo Agencies Pvt. Ltd. was conferred with Iconic Personality of the Decade in Shipping Industry. 

Thought Provoking Panel Discussion

A Thought Provoking Panel Discussion by Eminent Speakers enthralled and captivated the August Gathering on the theme of Impact of the current Geo-political Scenario on Global Shipping. This Insightful Panel Discussion was moderated by Industry Vetaran Capt. Deepak Tewari, Managing Director, MSC Agency (India) Private Limited & Chairman, Container Shipping Lines Association (India) set the tone of the evening.
