Kolkata - Exports from Bangladesh through the Bhomra Land Port in Satkhira have plummeted following an import ban imposed by the Indian government.

The export value dropped sharply from approximately $13 lakh to just $2.43 lakh in a single day.

Data from the Bhomra customs station shows that on 17 May, a total of 106 trucks carrying goods such as jute yarn, food items (toast, juice, chips, lychee), yarn waste, caps, ready-made garments, travel bags, and furniture were exported to India.
