MUMBAI: The CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics, is pleased to announced that it has successfully discharged five pieces of heavy-duty heat exchangers coming from Los Angeles via Singapore at Kolkata Port Trust on 10th May.

Mr. Ugo Vincent, Managing Director – CMA CGM India, said: “This exceptional shipment was the result of a close collaboration between the CMA CGM Group’s different brands, who acted as one in the difficult circumstances born from the global COVID-19 health crisis. Once again, CMA CGM’s staff demonstrated their professionalism and dedication to execute complex shipments for the benefit of our clients and the Indian economy at large.”

This marked the first time five breakbulk pieces were discharged in a single shipment at Kolkata. Each unit of heat exchanger was 16.46 meters long, 2.59 meters wide and 2.41 meters high. In addition, each weighed 34.473 mts.

Strict precautions were taken to ensure the health and safety of the CMA CGM Group’s staff and their partners in the context of the global health crisis.
