The award was presented by Mr. Kartik Pancholi, ACHAA President and Mr. S V Modi, leading Export Import Consultant to Mr. A. Ravindran, Managing Director and Mr. Uday Kumar C. N., General Manager of Westwind Shipping & Logistics Westwind Shipping was incorporated in the year 2006.
The main focus of the organisation was freight forwarding and customs clearance activity. It has 145 employees with branch offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pipavav, Mundra, Surat, Baroda with the head office based in Gandhidham.
It deals with various products and services with respect to the logistics requirements of the shippers and importers like NVOCC, Sea freight, Air freight, Customs clearance, Warehousing etc..
Westwind's strength was dealing with commodities like Raw Cotton and varied agri products specialising in these product and handling huge volume of movements to Far East.
The volume handled by Westwind is so enourmous, where chartered vessels are operated to move the containers from Mundra to Far East.
Winning the Freight Forwarder award for the year 2012 shows the volume handled by Westwind which is about pheonomenal in terms of the number of Containers.
