VOC Port creates New Record of handling of coal at NCB-II

TOOTHUKUDI : On 01.02.2025, the V.O. Chidambarnar Port Authority smashed its coal-handling
record at NCB-II Berth, by creating a New Record of handling 30,789 tonnes of coal from MV Flag
Tom, surpassing the previous high of 23,523 MT (Sept 13, 2024).

Key highlights:

  • Deployed 2 Harbour Mobile Cranes for rapid cargo discharge.
  • Added 1,700 sq.m of berth space for smoother truck movement and cargo storage.
    The agent for vessel is Port and Sea Expert Shipping Pvt Ltd and the Stevedore is B.L. Transport
    Private Limited. The importer and receiver are Tata International Limited & SEPC Power Private
    Limited respectively.
