MUMBAI: VOC Port has officially commenced development of its new Multi-Cargo Berth No.10, marked by a groundbreaking ceremony attended by Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson of the Port, alongside senior officials.
The upcoming berth will span 445 metres and feature a draft of 10 metres, dredged to 15.5 metres, allowing it to accommodate vessels up to 1,25,000 DWT. A 7.4-hectare backup yard with heavy-duty pavement will also be constructed to ensure smooth and efficient cargo operations.
