Tutocorin - V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority has achieved a historic milestone by handling the highest-ever parcel size in the Port’s history with the berthing of Liberia-flagged vessel MV Star Eva at North Cargo Berth-2.
The vessel carried 1,04,099 tonnes of coal from Richards Bay, South Africa, surpassing the previous record of 93,719 tonnes handled by MV Ince Ankara on 29 August 2021.
Tata International Limited is the consignee for the cargo, while M/s Port and Sea Experts is the steamer agent and BL Transport is handling stevedoring . . .
