Chief Commissioner of Customs and Commissioner of Customs, Ahmedabad inaugurated the New Customs Block
AHMEDABAD : A State of Art new customs block admeasuring 6000 Sq ft at ICD - Sanand of Thar Dry Port (unit of Hasti Petro Chemicals and Shipping Limited) was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Commissioner of Customs,Shri H.K. Jain and Hon'ble Commissioner of Customs Shri A.K. Pawar on Saturday June 9, 2012.
ICD Sanand provides Port to door & door to Port services from its facility.
It is one of the unique facilities in India having both Domestic & Export Import operations by both Rail & Road to all the Major Ports of North Western India.
The facility has been doubling its business year on year.
It is fully EDI (ICES) 1.5 compliant facility. The ICD also has an additional drug Controllers office, PPQS office within the said premises. Over 2.5 lac sq.ft of covered Warehouse space makes this facility a State of Art futuristic facility.
The ICD is also in the advance stages of developing State of Art office complex for the trade fraternity.(CHA, Freight Forwarders & Shipping Lines). Very shortly, ICD Sanand will have its own private rail siding within its termianl, in principal, approval of which has recently been obtained by the company.
The office is equipped with most modern amenities such as lounge, separate dining area, storage, server rooms, record rooms, automatic access controls, fire safety equipments and controls, fully computerized & other utilities with global standards and congenial working environment for the customs and its customers.
Due to the ICD being in close proximity of the Auto hub (Nano, Ford, Peugeot) the possibility of Air Cargo facility is also being explored by the company.
The group further plans to expand its network of terminals on Pan India basis which will lead to benefits accruing out of clusters. All major shipping lines patronize the Thar Terminal.
