Mumbai - Teamglobal, a leading logistics company in India, continuously aspires to accomplish its social vision through various philanthropic activities. The belief that sustainability and social impact go together motivates the company to constantly augment its CSR initiatives, and the same is seamlessly intertwined with its philosophy.

To a surprise for many, Teamglobal is a paperless office, which says no to plastic.

Teamglobal Globicon is one of the first green container freight stations (CFS) of the Country. The state-of-the art infrastructure is creating ‘Green Forest – The Miyawaki’ on the tenets of Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki. Other initiatives include rainwater harvesting, power generation through solar panels, bio-fuel generation and solid waste management, amongst others.

Making  a mark 

2016 marked the inception of Saksham Sarthi, the trust of Teamglobal. Since then, the social action of the trust has continued to gather momentum, especially in the areas of education, health, environment, women’s empowerment and community development.

“We are excited about our CSR initiatives and how they make a positive impact in society. We aspire to make CSR an intrinsic part of our strategy, reinforce our commitment and create responsible citizens, driven by passion,” said Mr. Nityam Khosla, Director of Teamglobal.

The education initiative aims, with the help of other NGOs, to promote academic and leadership excellence through financial assistance to underprivileged students. The trust also supports the dependents of cancer victims and survivors.

Saksham Sarthi has sponsored the infrastructural development of Maharishi Vedvyas Pratisthan, an institution that preserves Vedic education. It also promotes community sports like Cricket, Kabaddi, Marathons and long-distance cycling in rural areas.

“Corporate volunteerism is at the centre of Teamglobal’s philosophy and members are sensitised, encouraged and mobilised to visit a few NGOs along with their family. This gives them humility and a sense of satisfaction. In the future, we are looking at digital volunteering by our team members,” said Mr. Vivek Kele, Director, Teamglobal.
