MUMBAI: T.S. Lines, Taipei, announces joining the China India Express (CIX) service consortium covering Korea, China, Singapore and India, starting with effect from the second week of July 2012.

 

With the launch of this service, T.S. Lines reaffirms its commitment to shippers to provide fast and direct service between Far East and West coast of India, which will go a long way in promoting China- India trade while enhancing T. S. Lines’ service network.

 

The CIX loop will integrate into T.S. Lines' existing Asian services as well as its Australia and Middle East strings, making a comprehensive network for the line to move cargo from ports in Far East, South East Asia and Australia to India.

 

The service consortium, which includes Hyundai Merchant Marine, deploys five 4250 TEU, 22.5 knots vessels, with port rotation as Nhava Sheva – Singapore – Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Nhava Sheva.

 

 

 

Founded in July 2001 by Mr. T.S. Chen, primarily as an Intra-Asia carrier, T.S. Lines has made important strides in providing excellent level of service commitment, while rising the ranks of global ocean liner carriers to be counted as the 4th largest ocean carrier from Taiwan. The carrier currently operates with a fleet of 44 vessels, servicing 38 routes in South East and North East China, India, the Middle East and Australia. Operating Networks extend to 26 countries and 71 ports.

 

The rich experience of Mr. T.S. Chen and an in-depth knowledge of the nuances of global trade has ensured  that T.S. Lines has been able to make rapid expansion with a wide  range of service routes being offered  and the establishment of T.S. Lines brand in such a short span since its inception.

 

In India, TSL covers Nhava Sheva, Mundra, and Chennai ports and caters to Inland container depots (ICD) located in northern and western India.

 

The CIX service loop will come to complement the existing IMX service of T.S. Line that operates from Nhava Sheva (JNPT) which is a fixed day weekly service  catering to the ports of Jebel Ali and Bandar Abbas.
