MUMBAI: The South Korea-headquartered Sinokor Merchant Marine Co., Ltd has announced the commencement of services from JN Port from September 14, 2015. Among the services is the CISC [CIX-2] which has the following Port rotation: Nhava Sheva, Colombo, Port Klang [N], Port Klang [W], Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Tianjin, Qingdao, Singapore, Port Klang [N], Port Klang [W].
Sinokor also plans to have service arrangements on the CIX with a port rotation covering Kwangyang, Pusan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekhou, Singapore, Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kwangyang
Sinokor already has a service operational from Kolkata, said a release.
Sinokor Merchant Marine Co. inaugurated the first container liner service between Korea and China in 1989, which helped increase economic cooperation and normalise relations between the two Countries.
In 1998, Sinokor started a service between Ulsan and Kwangyang in Korea, which greatly reduced logistics costs.
It also expanded its service from Pyongtaek in Korea to include Shanghai, Qingdao, Tianjin and Dalian in China, pioneering a quality container liner service from Korea’s west coast ports.
The company thus gained a reputation for logistical innovation.
Sinokor’s container liner currently operates with a 35+ vessel fleet and services some 60 Ports in 20 Countries, including China, Japan, Russia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, The Philippines, Indonesia, India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran and the UAE.
