Shreyas Shipping inducts OEL KUTCH for Coastal trade

MUMBAI : Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd, the largest container Coastal Operator on the Indian Coast handling maximum Coastal  Domestic as well as Coastal Transshipment Containers boasts of latest acquisition and addition of one more cellular container vessel to its fleet – OEL KUTCH. The vessel is the sister vessel of OEL KOCHI acquired earlier on 1st August 2012.
 
OEL KUTCH was delivered to the company on 21st September at Singapore and has called ICTT, Vallarpadam on her maiden call on 3rd October and joins company’s WCC service replacing earlier vessel OEL SHREYAS.
 
Both sister vessels OEL KUTCH and OEL KOCHI will be operated on WCC service connecting Mundra, Kandla, Cochin, Tuticorin on a fixed day weekly service with an option to call at NSICT.
 
The vessels will be able to facilitate larger capacity and fixed day schedule to the customers.
 
The name OEL KUTCH is derived from Gulf of Kutch and dedicated to ports situated in Gulf of Kutch like Mundra and Kandla where the vessel will be calling and from where maximum domestic volume originates and hence our dedication to the coastal trade.
 
The vessel will call at MICT on her maiden call on 6th October and then at Kandla port on 8th October.
 
The tonnage and capacity owned and operated by Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd has almost doubled with the induction of two more vessels OEL KOCHI & OEL KUTCH to its fleet and now stands at 6 cellular container vessels of total GRT 86471 and container capacity of 7298 TEUs which has strengthened the company to be the premier coastal container operator.
 
The additional capacity will help to meet the growing demand of coastal container trade which is envisioned to grow further in days to come.
