Mumbai:Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Limited has added one more cellular container vessel to its fleet namely OEL KOCHI. This vessel was delivered to the company on 1st August, 2012 at Singapore. OEL KOCHI shall make her maiden call from Kochi on the 14th August, 2012.
Mr. S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman & Managing Director, Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd. was happy to state that “Shreyas has inducted one more vessel to its fleet and dedicates her maiden call at Cochin Port to the Nation for coastal trade on the eve of 65th Independence day.”
With this addition, the total tonnage available with Shreyas will increase by almost 45%. This vessel shall operate on the Indian coast and Shreyas is confident that it will be able to open more avenues for feeder as well as domestic trade to the customers.
Presently Shreyas owns 5 vessels and will operate three of the larger vessels on the West Coast trade and provide connectivity between most of the container terminals / Ports on the West Coast of India and help in developing ICTT as transhipment hub. The vessel has been named as OEL KOCHI to primarily provide connectivity between Vallarpadam terminal at Kochi with all other Indian ports and container terminals.
The proposed service rotation for the three vessels on the West Coast of India after induction of OEL KOCHI in the service will be as below.
OEL KOCHI & OEL SHREYAS : ICTT – TUTICORIN – MUNDRA – HAZIRA – NSV – ICTT (COK) on a 14 days for the round voyage which will then help to offer a weekly service.
OEL TRUST : ICTT (COK) – MANGALORE – GOA – HAZIRA – MUNDRA - KARACHI - KANDLA - ICTT (COK) on a fortnightly service.
