London - Shri Vijay Kumar (IAS), Secretary, MoPSW addressed the IMO Assembly in London underscoring India’s dedicated efforts toward safe, sustainable and cooperative global shipping.
He highlighted key priorities including seafarer welfare, green and energy-efficient shipping, enhanced maritime security and India’s expanding role in shaping the global maritime agenda.
India is also contesting the IMO Council elections (Category B) for the 2026–2027 term, reaffirming its commitment to contribute actively to the future of international maritime governance.
