New Delhi - Shri Vijay Kumar (IAS), Secretary, MoPSW, chaired the stakeholder consultation on the shipbuilding scheme guidelines at Transport Bhavan, New Delhi.The meeting brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including shipyards, shipping lines, State Maritime Boards/Industrial Departments, maritime associations, financial institutions, other ministries and relevant partners. The discussion focused on finalising the guidelines for operationalising the scheme approved by the Union Cabinet under the ~ INR 70,000 crore package of shipbuilding development initiatives, namely the Shipbuilding Financial Assistance Scheme, the Maritime Development Fund and the Shipbuilding Development Scheme.
