Samsara Group highlights its diverse portfolio of shipping solutions to the Pune trade

PUNE/MUMBAI: Samsara Group organized an interactive trade meet on February 28, 2017 at the Hotel Vivanta by Taj in Pune, which saw an eminent gathering from the export-import fraternity from in and around the city, especially representatives from the automobile, chemical, manufacturing industry and various logistics service providers. 
 
Key Senior Executives of the Group graced the occasion and addressed those gathered, including Mr. Mukesh Oza, Group President and CEO, Mr Manu Nagpal, Vice-President - Commercial and Business Development and Capt. Pankaj Mehrotra, CEO, Shipping Agency. The event also saw the special presence of Mr Karolath Gopinath, Managing Director and Capt. Aniket Patwardhan, Head of Sales, Hoegh Autoliners India and Mr. Indrajit Sengupta, Sr. Vice President, MSC India, representing the world’s leading RoRo and container shipping line respectively and their commitment to growing Pune trade.
 
Mr Oza highlighted, that realizing the locational advantage Pune has to the gateway port, diverse industrial setup and the logistical opportunities that it would offer, Samsara had established its presence very early to capitalise on the same. He touched upon the extensive service offerings of the Group in almost all areas of the shipping, ports and logistics sector, including RoRo, rail and CFS. He especially thanked all the customers and the trade in general for their strong support to the Group over the years.
 
Mr Nagpal elaborated on the services of Samsara in the agency business as well as in the container, break-bulk, heavy lift, project cargo and RoRo segments, through its vast Countrywide network. He also acknowledged the trade for their support and significant contribution to the group from the Pune region.
 
Mr. Sengupta and Capt. Patwardhan highlighted the salient features of the global services offered by MSC and Hoegh Autoliners, respectively, and their facilitations for the Indian trade.
 
Hoegh Autoliners, represented by a Samsara Group company as agent, had recently brought the world’s largest pure car and truck carrier to India.
 
Capt. Pankaj Mehrotra earlier welcomed all invitees and thanked them for their presence and long-standing support to the Samsara Group.
