Mumbai - In a significant administrative development, the Government of India has approved the appointment of Mr Praneet Choudhary, IRAS (2008 batch), as Deputy Director General (Director-level) in the Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping), Mumbai, under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The appointment has been cleared under the Central Staffing Scheme, following Mr Choudhary’s earlier recommendation for central deputation by the Ministry of Railways. The scheme governs the deployment of senior civil servants to key positions in the Central Government.
