ANTWERP: The Port of Antwerp has thanked its Top Performers for record year in 2018. People make the Port. It was thanks to the more than 60,000 port employees that Port of Antwerp was once again able to celebrate a record year in 2018, said a company statement. The Port of Antwerp "Top Performers" campaign was held from 21 to 25 January. The Top Performers team criss-crossed the port area to thank port company employees for their efforts during the past year. Anyone passing the Top Performers stand was given a colourful scarf.

All  port employees did a tip-top job, in the opinion of Port of Antwerp, which set up the Top Performance campaign in recognition of them. "2018 was an outstanding year for Port of Antwerp," says Port Authority CEO Jacques Vandermeiren. "We owe this to the thousands of port employees who give us a 100% effort day after day. Together, they are shaping the future of the port. These Top Performers deserve a heart-felt 'thank you,' hence this campaign."
