Mumbai: Port of Amsterdam organized a get-together on October 12, 2012 (Friday) at Trident with the aim to increase its presence in India.
The event was organized by Samsara Group, representative of Port of Amsterdam in India.
Mr. M (Michael) van Toledo, Commercial Manager, Port of Amsterdam and Mr. P. B. (Peter) Overbeek Bloem, Senior Manager Business Climate addressed the conference, which saw enthusiastic participation from trade and Shipping Fraternity.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. M (Michael) van Toledo said, “It is a great honour to be here to share the impression about Port of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is one of the leading European Ports in all aspects of dry bulk operations including: Handling, storage, and distribution. The Port handles almost 93 million MT cargo annually. It also handles a plethora of different products, such as cocoa, coffee, coal and agricultural products.
A substantial part of the incoming dry cargo is connected with the regional industry itself. Amsterdam's excellent accessibility and substantial options for growth and expansion make it a leading choice for one's business”.
