MUMBAI: Ocean Network Express (India) Private Limited, (ONE India) partnered with RUGBY INDIA

(Rugby India, founded in 1998, is the sole governing body for the sport of Rugby in India.

Recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sport, Govt. of India, Rugby India is a full member of

World Rugby, Asia Rugby and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to foster empowerment of children from underprivileged families in the remote tea estate village of Saraswatipur, West Bengal approximately 45 KM from the town of Siliguri.

On 14th and 15th December 2019, ONE India’s Kolkata Team along with members from Mumbai Head Office and RUGBY India representatives spent two days with about 165 children from local communities, bonding over the game of RUGBY.

The children were coached in the basics of RUGBY as a gateway to confidence building, imbibing life skills, values, celebrating collaboration and team building. The children demonstrated immense positivity, hope and showcased their talent.

The initiative is expected to touch the lives of approximately 1500 children in this village and surrounding villages by empowerment, confidence building, career building, education etc. through Rugby.
