New Mangalore Port Authority handles maiden steel grade pig iron cargo

MANGALURU: New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) has achieved a milestone with the first-ever handling of steel grade pig iron ore cargo from Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd (KFIL), a manufacturer of pig iron, grey iron castings, seamless steel tubes and alloy steel.

According to NMPA, the maiden export shipment comprised 31,500 tonnes of steel grade pig iron to Kenya aboard m.v. Resolute Bay with Stemcor as the overseas buyer. The vessel was represented by GAC Shipping (India) Pvt Ltd,  . . .
