NEW DELHI : Importers and Exporters have breathed a shy of relief as a potential Nationwide Strike by dock workers’ unions across all government owned major ports has been averted. Labour unions had threatened to strike starting from 17th December to enforce a wage agreement reached in September 2024. However, the Ministry of Shipping has now received approval to implement the revised contract conditions, which is expected to be formalized soon.
