MV SCI Mumbai berthed at Kandla Terminal

GANDHIDHAM : MV SCI Mumbai a large container vessel of The Shipping Corporation of India was safely brought inside and berthed at KICT, Kandla Terminal with two overside hanging containers and few damaged containers who encountered heavy storm (Biparjoy) off Goa sailing out from Tuticorin.

After a thorough risk assessment and taking due precautions the vessel was permitted to berth during high tide in daylight condition. The critical operation of bringing vessel inside the harbour was carried out by Capt. Nitin Nanda, Marine Pilot, under the guidance of Capt. Pradeep Mohanty, Dy. Conservator.
