Mumbai Port to hold Maritime Conclave 2019 Road Show tomorrow

MUMBAI: Ministry of Shipping (MoS) along with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) will be organizing an international event Maritime Conclave 2019 which will be held on 14th – 15th February 2019 at East Coast Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

In the context, Ministry of Shipping along with Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is organising an Industry meet on 31 January 2019 at Mumbai Port Trust, Mumbai. The event will promote both domestic and international investments in the Indian Maritime Sector.

Capt. B V J K Sharma, Chairman- Shipping, FICCI Committee on Infrastructure and Joint Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, JSW Infrastructure Limited, will render welcome address. Captain Anoop Kumar Sharma, Chairman & MD, Shipping Corporation of India,

Mr Rizwan Sultanali Soomar, MD & CEO- Indian subcontinent, DP World, Capt. Subas Das, MD & CEO, Essar Bulk Terminal Limited, Capt. Anand Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, ANGRIYA Sea Eagle Private Limited, and Mr Anoop Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director, Indian Port Rail Corporation Limited, will address the gathering. There will be a Special Address by Shri Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust. Shri Sanjay Bhatia, IAS, Chairman, Mumbai Port Trust, will deliver Keynote Address.

Theme Presentation – ‘Making India’s Maritime Sector Robust & Globally Competitive,’ will be done by Shri Satinder Pal Singh, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Shipping.

The Maritime Conclave, 2019 will be attended by various stakeholders in the maritime sectors such as Policy Planners, Senior Government Officials, Domestic and International Investors, Sector Experts, Shipping Line Owners, Representatives of Major Ports from across the world as well as the Governments of Maritime States in India. The proposed conclave will also host forums for interaction and collaboration with the Indian and international maritime companies, investors and other stakeholders.
