MUMBAI: Mumbai Port, India’s premier port celebrated India’s 74th Republic Day with enthusiasm as it was special since Mumbai Port Authority is celebrating its 150 years.
On this occasion, Shri Rajiv Jalota, IAS, Chairperson, Mumbai Port Authority hoisted a Flag at Domestic Cruise Terminal, Bhauchha Dakka, MbPA and presented the Guard of Honour. CISF also performed spectacular demonstration and parade.
Shri Adesh Titarmare, IAS, Dy. Chairperson, MbPA, Shri Rakesh Shrivastava, ITS, CVO, MbPA, MbPA HoDs, Sr.Officers & staff attended the ceremony. On this occasion, Shri Jalota, addressed the gathering and distributed various awards and prizes.
Shri Rajiv Jalota mentioned that MbPA is celebrating several events under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to honour glorious history and achievements in different sectors and also planning several events for 150 years celebration of MbPA. Mumbai Port is constantly engaged in creating new infrastructure, new business opportunities, attracting new cargoes and opening up new avenues and contributed for maritime sector.
Shri Rajiv Jalota announced the launch of the “Policy for Usage & Revitalisation of Waterfront”- welcoming all citizens to organize activities to promote art, history, culture, health awareness, etc. at the Eastern Waterfront.
