Mumbai Port Authority Showcase Progress made on PM GATI SHAKTI

MUMBAI: Mumbai Port Authority conducted a media interaction on 3rd March 2022, to showcase the progress and the outcome of the projects  on the principles of PM Gati Shakti – National Master Plan for Multi Modal Connectivity in the conference hall, Vijay deep, in the presence of MbPA’s stake holders.  A presentation on PM Gati Shakti was made outlining that in order to achieve six pillars of PM Gati Shakti- Comprehensiveness, Prioritization, optimization, synchronization, Analytical and Dynamic, the Mumbai Port Authority is striving hard to plan their activities holistically in consultation with all stake holders and concerned Ministries so that the projects are executed with a common vision and not separately in silos.
Thereafter a presentation was made explaining the MbPA projects alongwith PM Gati Shakti on the software made by Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and Geo-Informatics(BISAG) Gandhinagar explaining the different layers of land use, road & railway network in Eastern Water Front of Mumbai Port.
Shri Rajiv Jalota, IAS, Chairman, MbPA informed the media that the PM Gati Shakti is an ambitious programme of Union Cabinet to co-ordinate integrated planning and implementation of infrastructure connectivity projects. 
He also stated that Mumbai Port Authority has brought two ambitious projects viz: Mumbai International Cruise Terminal (MICT) and Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) under PM Gati Shakti- National Master Plan, under the guidance of Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush.
Thereafter, several media personnel raised various doubts during the Interactive session and Chairman, MbPA clarified all the points.
