Copenhagen - Sea-Intelligence recently analysed the deployed vessel capacity on the Mediterranean to North America East Coast (MED-NAEC) trade lane. Its analysis of the second half of 2025 reveals a sharp divergence between the average and median vessel sizes, indicating that the trade lane’s vessel size composition is being altered by a small number of new, larger vessels (that are pulling the average up), rather than a structural insertion of larger vessels.
