AHMEDABAD : The Movex group, yet again handled a major and critical time bound Oil and Gas cargo comprising of odd 900 cbm of over dimensional, heavy lift from Mumbai Port to Alexandria Port. 

 

Cargo consist of two compressors of 55 tonnes each, two coolers of 45 tonnes each with a height of 14 ft and other ancillaries varying from 5 to 20 tonnes pieces were loaded on multiple mafis to make under Ro/Ro operation. This oil and gas machinery was being moved for company which is an Egypt Government undertaking. 

 

Criticality of time line was addressed with closely coordinated road haul movements of all these parcels & careful workings with chosen carrier agreed for making an inducement call at Alexandria Port.

 

Like in every project cargo, there were quite a few challenges in meeting the deadline as the cargo had to negotiate with the impediments coming out of local general elections and vessel calling during weekend. However, we managed to complete all formalities just on time and were able to load all the cargoes – said a company executive.
