MUMBAI: Mumbai Port Trust Chairman Shri Rajeev Gupta along with senior officers of the Port holds a meeting with a high delegation from the Port Authority of Antwerp led by its Chairman Mr. Marc Van Peel & CEO Mr. Eddy Bruynicxk on Feburary 8, 2012 in Mumbai.
Mumbai Port which plays a pivotal role in the development of national economy, trade and commerce entered into a MoU in 2010 to jointly promote, mainly break bulk cargo trade between Port of Antwerp and Mumbai Port.
To flow further, both sides agreed to examine the possibility of exchange Port personnel on attachment basis for an agreed duration to learn and earn the expertise and the business environment of the respective Ports.
Additionally, specific cargoes identified for promotion includes project cargo, steel coil and chemicals between two Ports.
MbPT and Port of Antwerp stressed the importance of deepening the relations through mutual co operation.
