On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Kandla Port SteamShip Agents Association (KPSAA) committee members gathered to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Chairman Shri S.K. Mehta and Deputy Chairman Shri Nandeesh Shukla of the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) for their pivotal role in the positive resolution of penal berth hire charges.

In a warm Diwali meeting, KPSAA members presented sweets, flowers, and shawls to Chairman S.K.Mehta and Deputy Chairman Nandeesh Shukla as tokens of appreciation. This gesture symbolizes the association's acknowledgment of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman's efforts, which led to the acceptance and consideration of KPSAA's request for reconsideration.

The committee members conveyed sincere thanks and Diwali wishes, recognizing the leadership of DPA for fostering a positive and collaborative relationship between shipping agents and the port authority.

Following the receipt of submissions seeking clarifications on the penal hire circular, including the adjustment from hourly to 100% berth hire for a minimum of 1 day, KPSAA President Mr. Bharat Gupta and the Managing Committee members met with Chairman  and Deputy Chairman.

During the meeting, the KPSAA team assured the esteemed leaders that they would submit detailed submissions on these points. Chairman and Deputy Chairman expressed their willingness to review the concerns raised by the association and provide suitable relaxations to promote trade and traffic.
