MUMBAI : Gujarat Pipavav Port has informed that the Board of Directors in their meeting held on March 31, 2015 approved the appointment of Mr. Keld Pedersen as Managing Director of the Company with effect from May 1, 2015.
This is subject to the shareholders and other statutory approvals, as applicable, according to the information given to BSE.
Keld Pedersen has worked at APM Terminals since the inception of the company, and has previously worked in, among other things, Cameroon, Malaysia and at the headquarters in The Hague.
He has been CEO of APM Terminals in Gothenburg since the company took over the container port in early 2012.
Mr Pedersen, who has wide ranging experience in APM Terminals and the A. P. Moller-Maersk Group, succeeds Mr Prakash Tulsiani, who, as reported earlier, put in his papers after a successful stint as Managing Director since January 2009.
GPPL operates APM Terminals Pipavav in Gujarat.
