GANDHIDHAM : The Central Government, vide Gazette Notification dated 24/9/2017, has approved the proposal to rename Kandla Port Trust as 'Deendayal Port Trust'.
By renaming Kandla Port Trust as 'Deendayal Port Trust', a grateful nation would be remembering the invaluable contributions made by one of the greatest sons of India. This will inspire the people of the State, particularly the youth, who may not be fully aware of the contributions made by the great leader.
The Port Trust Board at its recent meeting noted the Gazette Notification, renaming Kandla Port Trust as 'Deendayal Port Trust' and expressed its sincere thanks to the Central Government for accepting the Proposal of the Port Trust Board in this regard, informed a Deendayal Port Trust (Kandla Port) Release.
The Port Trust has already started making necessary changes in this regard and thanked all for their whole-hearted support in this regard, added the release.
