The port authorities has attracted receivers, shippers, Importers, Exporters, owners of ship, charterers and brokers efficiently in recent past by handling huge size of ships and earned confidence of all India trade.
Briefing record made in 1 day in m.v. Maritime Century which arrived on 0135 hrs on 17th June 2015 with 92814 mts of Iron Ore Lumps, has lightened 18601 mts cargo at OTB with Shreeji Stevedores floating crane and berthed in flood tide by Harbour Master himself – Mr. T Srinivasan on 21st evening tide.
She resume discharging at 1655 hr on 21st evening with port cranes and AVJoshi cranes and created new discharging record of 58487 mts just in 1 day on 23rd June 2015 and sailed from Port on 23rd itself, surpassing previous record of 57600 mts Iron Ore made on 6th Aug 2011 in m.v. Unique Dawn by stevedores – AV Joshi and handling agent Gautam Freight.
