NEW DELHI:  Kandla Port Trust(KPT) is awarded with the Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Puraskar by the Hon'ble President of India  Shri Pranab Mukherjee ji, at New Delhi as a first place award in implementation of Rajbhasha in the Region - B area, comprising of the states having regional languages along with the Hindi  Bhasha.

 

 Dr P. D. Vaghela, Chairman of  KPT, has accepted the award trophy and certificate from Hon'ble President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee ji, at New Delhi during the official function organised by the Ministry of Home, Government of India.  

 

The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde, Hon’ble Union Home Minister. 

 

Mr. Jitendra Kumar, Union State Minister, Ministry of Home was the guest of honour for the function.

 

The Kandla Port has adjudged the best organisation for implementation of Rajbhasha amongst Government Organisation of B- Region states of Rajbhasha.  

 

 The awards were decided by the Ministry of Home, Department of Rajbhasha, Government of India on the basis of the performance of the government organisation,  There were 55 categories of the awards and this is the rarest award  and  recognition bestowed by the Government of India to the Kandla Port Trust.
