MUMBAI : JSW Jaigarh Port is operational since last 7 years as Deep Water, Multi Cargo, Greenfield Project on the western Coast of Maharashtra.
The Port has achieved many milestones during this period by exhibiting the advanced operational efficiencies and capabilities. The stakeholders have reposed their faith in JSW and encouraged the team to strive further for excellence.
The growth and business opportunities have also endorsed the management’s decision to expand its wings by way of constructing additional berths, increasing depths, extension of breakwater and additional Material Handling Systems, etc.
Recently, Port has been dredged to cater to 18m draught of vessels. Further, dredging is under progress which will shortly enable to call the Capesize vessels upto draft of 18.5m.
The team at JSW Jaigarh Port is excited and fully geared up to discharge the cargo from first Capesize vessel MV Indian Friendship which shall be calling to JSW Jaigarh Port with 160,000 MT of Steam Coal on April 16, 2015. The Port is planning for a brief event to mark this memorable event.
The team is confident to discharge this cargo successfully and add another feather to its cap. However, Jaigarh Port will not rest on its laurels but shall strive to excel in its operations in the times to come.
