MUMBAI : JNPT has won the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 2012 from the Institute of Directors (IOD), New Delhi.
The award was received byShri L. Radhakrishnan, IAS, Chairman, JNPT from Shri Karan Singh former Cabinet Minister, GoI, and currently MP at the 14th World Congress on Environment Management held at New Delhi.
A jury under the Chairmanship of Justice P.N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member , UN Human Rights Commission , selected JNPT for the Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 2012 for its recent environmental initiative.
The Chairman, Shri L. Radhakrishnan, IAS, in his speech attributed this success to the contribution by JNPT’s management and employees on environment, clean energy, renewable energy, waste management, safety, occupational health etc.
