Navi Mumbai - In one of the largest such operations in its history, the Custom Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (JNCH) has put on hold 122 containers on suspicion of containing banned Chinese fireworks, electronic items, microchips, and other contraband.
The containers are alleged to have been brought through false declarations. The CIU has issued an order stating that it has received confidential intelligence related to these containers.
The CIU has instructed all managers of Container Freight Stations (CFS) and terminals to submit details of the containers, including bills of entries, assessment . . .
