JN Port constantly monitoring the progress of Cyclone

NAVI MUMBAI: According to a recent statement from JNPT, the authorities at the Port has been constantly monitoring the progress of Cyclone Tauktae vide weather reports from IMD, DG Commcentre.

On 17th May, 2021 at around 0800 hrs the cyclone system has passed around 250 nautical miles West of Mumbai and is at present expected to make land fall in Gujarat Coast at around 0001 hrs on 18th May, 2021. The Wind, atmospheric  pressure and other weather parameters are  being constantly monitored and a OSV of ONGC,  MPV PSV1 has been called to Pilot station at 1815 hrs for berthing into ONGC Nhava Base.

The Ships which were planned by the BMCT, APMT, BPCL, JNPCT, NSICT & NSIGT to be berthing at their respective terminals have conveyed their ETA which is after 0100 hrs on 18th May, 2021. They will be picking up Pilot after 0100 hrs on 18th May, 2021  subject to favorable weather conditions .
